Soul So Strong
She held her shoulder’s high and proud, but in her hid a fear so strong and nothing that they knew could understand strength like the strength she ran from. Even when the waves of coral sheltered dreams sprayed their hopes across the golden shifting sky, the breakers kept their distance and played their mischief far away from lawful hands that can betray what is already theirs to take. Even when the silver stars fell down from the swallowed sky they threw their nets in hope to find her love and thoughts of good. But shattered hope like stars or glass that’s sharp and cuts deep within the flesh, they hung their sorrow on the walls so walkers by could fish like children with new toys, the distance crumbles fast.Even when they threw it up they knew it wouldn’t lastTheir lives of empty stone that breaks upon the sand so soft, but meek to children’s touch, we will overtake what they have left and never understood. What they did not try to see, we bleed their eyes and catch their tongues within the golden seaAnd with her shoulders high and proud and nimble feet and eyes so deep…...She walked into her death
